All i had went through in the year of 2010

Year 2010 is coming to its end but when i try to recall back, it seems like a long long period that i went through. I thought it is easy to do a summary for myself but after i did it halfway i feel so heavy and grateful to all that happened to me in 2010.

P/S: This summary takes me one whole day to complete it. Maybe it seems like short and brief, but it means a lot to me.

January
I start of my final semester with tons of assignments, FYP works.
Holiday mood still in my mind so i think i dint really focus much on it.

February
Enjoying my new year back at home.
After discussion with my parents, decided to continue study after finishing my degree.

March
Final thrust to work on FYP. It's not the best and it might not significant to anyone but it is my work.
When things is almost the end, my dear supervisor gave my a surprise;

Faint

to present my FYP in an one-day seminar in which there are 2 Japanese professors that i cannt even understand their language, almost all the lecturers from my course (ME), master students, coursemates and juniors.

April

Having my first and last course night (ME night) 

Memorable...

Having my last ever final examination in my undergraduate life.

May

The toughest things in May is to pack all my things in one day and then move all my things to my new house. 

Yes, I am moving as I am coming back to KK after my internship to continue my study life here. 

June

After enjoying a short break, i start my internship in Su Sin & Co. 

Tough and memorable

Seems like enjoyable, but...

I started to having OT works since the second day i was in Su Sin & Co. 

During the super duper peak season (June), I even worked until 10pm and full day working on Saturday and Sunday. 

Truly, I learnt a lot from u all. Thanks a lot. 

July
Finish my internship in mid of July and start enjoying...... for 2 weeks.

August
Heading back to KK with non-student status.
Starting my new life and feel boring for short while as i was disconnected to internet, merely survive with my poor little celcom broadband.
Introduced to international diversification and portfolio rebalancing.

September
During hari raya holiday, went back to have my vacation with my family @ Cameron.

October
Most significant day in year 2010: 10102010

I was graduated!!!!

November
To prevent myself to be absolute boring during spare time and to earn additional pocket money, I become a piano teacher through my supervisor's introduction.

This is the first ever music concert I was in. 

December

During this month, i has been struggling as there is too much things to shop and i have to limit myself.
Enjoying a week with my sister, go shopping and eating all around in KK.

Last week, my mood was the best as I was enrolled as Master student in UMS.
Finally, my status is clear.

Wish: 
After reviewing my life in year 2010, I must set a target for myself for the coming year. 
1. Study hard and study smart. 
Write my first ever journal article and attending   my first ever conference. (Target: Singapore)
2. Gaining experience in piano teaching. 
3. Shop smart.
Spend my hard-earned money wisely without wasting. 
4. It's time for me to try my best to please my parents and sisters more.

Yeap, I was enrolled as Postgraduate student.

Although i fulfilled all the criteria required to be enrolled, result waiting still makes me doubt on myself. Finally, my status is confirmed.
I have to be more disciplined which now i am not (still enjoying).

Year 2010 is almost end. That means there is lots of year end sale now!!!! The latest one should be the body shop year-end sale. You all have one week time to grap the things you want but the discount is for selected items only, take note when shopping ya....

Price of cotton products is going up next month!!!

Just wanna share the latest news i got :

Petaling Jaya (The Star/ANN) - Malaysian consumers will have to pay more for new clothes this Christmas and the New Year after a surge in the price of cotton and yarn.

The shortage of raw materials worldwide and higher demand for garments has led to the escalating prices of all raw materials for textiles and garments since early this year.

Malaysian Textile Manufacturers Associa tion chief executive officer Andrew Hong said local manufacturers had to absorb the higher manufacturing costs and cope with surging raw material prices.

He said all raw material prices had surged by 25 per cent to 40 per cent in the past two to three months.

He foresaw prices of apparels at retail outlets increasing next month onwards as manufacturers would pass on some of the costs to end users eventually.

He explained that flooding in cotton-producing countries like China, India, United States, Pakistan and Brazil had caused the serious shortage of supply of raw materials.

Hong said he expected the price of cotton to stabilise only in the middle of next year when the production of polyester fibre, a substitue for cotton, increased.

Currently, polyester fibre producers are struggling to increase production. They need time to enlarge their production capacity," he added.

Grand Bell Trading Sdn Bhd, a manufacturer and retailer of Skiva undergarments, has plans to increase retail prices for its products next month.

Its chief executive officer Joseph See told The Star that the price of cotton was surging crazily last month, and its manufacturing unit had to pay 60 per cent more for raw materials.

He said the company was bearing the increasing manufacturing costs since January.

We have no choice but to pass on some of the costs to consumers by raising retail prices by about 20 per cent next month," he said.

See expected retailers in the undergarment industry to increase prices by at least 25 per cent.

Sports and casual wear retailer Cheetah Holdings Bhd executive director Chia Kee Kwei also said prices of apparel and garments would be increased from next month.

We are still working on a new pricing list for our products according to the manufacturing cost," he said, adding that 70 per cent of its apparels were imported.

This is what i just read in Yahoo News Malaysia. Even though we are having year end mega sales but the price of cotton product is still going up. Get whatever you need asap...

By approaching the end of 2010, I am now tempting by lots of lots of end season sales...
However, in KK, not all the sales available in peninsular are valid here... ( sobs... sobs...)

Thus, i only share the valid sales in KK which benefits those who are in KK or sabah.

My first research on Books~~~

今天好不容易可以去逛街了，好开心好开心哦。。。

本来以为今天可以下定决心买一些很想买的护肤品，结果一样都没买到。。。女人真是善变。。。

不过还好今天发现了几本好书。。。

我喜欢看的书种类可能相差太远，不要被吓倒。

-从来没有特别迷恋九把刀的书，纯粹喜欢这本书里面的搞笑情节。

RESEARCH?

After reading different blog, forum or even articles, just wish to have my own space to share my research on some of my most interested topic...

There should be no gals that don't like to talk about beauty, that's why i am interested on it too.

Also, there is my personal interest on Music while getting more impact from my colleagues and students as i am now teaching piano.

Last but not the very least, this should be main topic of research since i am now decided to do my research on international diversification in Malaysian investment by using their pre-retirement saving. Maybe it will be a bit boring to u but not to me.
